Chapter 4: New Faces, Different Places

Why, that word repeated in Adam’s head. He knew he wasn’t special like him, but today was the day that he moved into the academy. The students have to wear a chrome battle suit with a badge stating their rank. Truthfully it contrasted perfectly with his bronze pigment, and his blackish blue hair, and crimson orange eyes. His bag was packed and with clothes, a wooden katana (for practice), and some books. Including a mystic blue leather book, used to record the tale of his family history, passed down from generations, but they control what is written by their action. The owner mustn’t look inside until they come of grace; or suffer a horrid curse marked on each book. To be honest it’s probably just a rumor.

“Time to go!” Adam’s mother yelled. He rushed down the stairs and loaded up the horse with his stuff, and turned to his mom “I’m going to miss you.” He said. Little did he know that the journey he embarked on would be bumpy?

In exactly two hours he arrived at the academy, but it wasn’t much of a sight, all that was there were mountains ranges and a high up fence connected to a gate. Where’s the academy, did it get destroyed?” He contemplated aloud. “Maybe I should go; I shouldn’t have come here anyway.”  He muttered and hopped on his horse; spontaneously the gates opened, and he turned around, and glanced upon high rising building, a stadium, and diverse sets of dormitories. It was overwhelmingly beautiful, “if my mom could see this…”

He grabbed his schedule and rushed by homeroom. The hallway had a pale grey color and a lamp by each classroom. “It’s my first day and I’m already late to class…classy Adam, classy” he mumbled to himself. He gazed up at the classroom name “5-Z” That was the place, and he entered the room and a sluggish voice arose from the center of the classroom. “You’re late, take your seat please.” The teacher said.  Adam bowed and apologized, and the rest of the class began to converse and gossip about me. I sighed. “Today’s lesson class is to harness your inner strength. You will have to travel to the mountains without any weapons; and battle a dragon and gather it’s scale. Once you do come back here through the Tele-spot to forge your weapon.” He said getting ready to sit back down, and he raises his finger. “Ah, yes I almost forgot your forged weapon is based on what’s in your heart. Well that’s about...” Adam had cut him off. “Wait, how are you a teacher and you look no older than me?” he asked the instructor and he let out a sigh.” “I’m apart of a special unit, anymore questions.”  Adam shook his head, and the teacher turned and wrote his name on the board. “My name is Eric Perralius, and I’m 16 years old like most of you, I might not look but I’m pretty strong; therefore being said I advise you not to test me.” Master Eric de-activated his armor; the guy looked as if he could be in my rank. He had a lazy vibe and expression on his face; that was probably his normal expression. His hair was a golden blonde color, and his face was pale with red eyes.

Master Eric was still speaking, but Adam didn’t hear what he said, “I should really stop speaking to myself…” “Oh Mr. Adam…” the teacher said. “Huh?” He looked up for a second. “Ever interrupt my class again and you’ll be ogre chow.” He gulped and signed. “Aw, man what have I gotten myself into?” he mumbled.
