Chapter 2: Deathmatch Part I
The announcer greeted a few of the 200 competitors, and spoke into a mic. “Now that our contestants have arrived it’s now time to commence with our activity for this year…” He paused, which irritated Adam, because he was trying to build up suspense. The announcer seemed wary.
The announcer turned and hurled a Chinese dagger at one of the competitor. The boy held is throat and fell to the ground bleeding out from his esophagus. Adam’s body was paralyzed stiff in fear. Did he really just kill him? As his blood splatters all over; it painted the floor a crimson red color. A women in the back screamed, she was probably the mother of the child that was just massacred. “Alright, alright before you get railed up the activity for this year is The Deathmatch. The rules are you can use any technique you learned in the academy, but any forbidden moves shall be terminated…like our friend right here who was in possession of a Yami Shard.” The announcer says looking down at the body. “With that being said, try not to die!” he walks back to his seat with a devious smile that only that Adam noticed. It was as if he was looking forward to them killing each other. “BEGIN!” he shouted. All that could be heard were blades being pulled out of sheaths and clashes. Adam searched for his brother within the group of people. He knew in his heart he shouldn’t have been worried, but he was; “Lionel might not be able to take them on.” Adam mumbled softly. Bodies began to fall from the tens to fifties within minutes; it was a game of survival of the fittest.
A teenager with a long beard with armored gauntlets, who didn’t have a sword were slamming people in the guts and face with his gauntlets, which wraps around his whole body with his armor. He clanked them together and lightning emitted from them, and he lariat fifty knights. Their bodies aligned towards his brother, whose eyes were closed. Is he really that cocky or is he that strong. Whichever, he needs to hurry and do something, because the kid with the gauntlets was rushing straight towards him. He was increasing in speed and clanked his gauntlets twice more, and embers sparked.
